Nexta
2000 – 2012Smog was a founding shareholder and technology partner (CTO and development team) of Nexta from its foundation in 2000 — backed by the Kiwi II investment fund — until its sale to ITEDI S.p.A. (La Stampa, Exor group) in 2012.
Nexta was the first Italian platform of vertical websites and a pioneer of Italian thematic digital publishing, with a network of sites dedicated to art, culture, entertainment and sport, and advertising sales managed by Il Sole 24 Ore Websystem. It was also one of the first Italian players in content providing, delivering turn-key editorial channels curated by its own newsroom to numerous online portals and publications, including Libero.it (3 channels), Fastweb (11 channels), ilsole24ore.com (Viaggi24) and lastampa.it.
Smog built and ran the entire technology infrastructure, the CMS and the frontend of the whole network and of all delivered services.

PGClick
Pagine GialleSmog was the technology partner for the PGClick project by Pagine Gialle (Telecom Italia), which allowed SMBs to buy Google Ads (AdWords) traffic through a simplified web interface. The backend then published and managed the campaigns on behalf of the various advertisers.
ARTE.it
OngoingSmog is a founding shareholder and technology partner of ARTE.it, the digital news publication dedicated to the art world, for which it builds and runs the technology platform of www.arte.it.
Alkemy play
Foundation – 2025Smog was a founding shareholder and technology partner of Alkemy play, a company of the Alkemy / Retex group, from its foundation until 2025. Within Alkemy play it led and coordinated the development of the SMB website management platform, used by several partner companies — including the Intesa Sanpaolo group — to publish and manage business websites and e-commerce.
